Square Enix announces major summer sale and pop-up shop

Square Enix has announced the ‘Square Enix Summer Sale -Final-’, featuring discounts of up to 70% on popular titles. Notably, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of ‘Star Ocean the Second Story R’ is participating in its first sale, offered at 40% off. Other discounted titles include ‘Star Ocean: First Departure R’ at 70% off, and various entries in the ‘Legend of Mana’ series at 65% off.

In addition to the digital sale, a themed pop-up shop for the ‘Legend of Mana’ and ‘Star Ocean’ series will be held at the Ikebukuro Skima Store starting September 2, 2026.

In other gaming news, Crypton Future Media announced that pre-orders for the new smartphone puzzle game ‘Hatsune Miku Graphy Collection: Mystery Music Planet Re:Merge’ have begun, with a scheduled release in autumn 2026. Meanwhile, Clouded Leopard Entertainment revealed that the action roguelike ‘13Z -Thirteen Seats War Chronicles-’ will launch globally on January 14, 2027, for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Finally, Mebius announced that the classic Super Famicom RPG ‘Bazu! Magic World’ will be re-released for Nintendo Switch on November 26, 2026.
