Square Enix hints at story DLC and novel release for Final Fantasy VII Revelation

A recent Epic Games Store database leak listed a “Story Expansion Pass” for the upcoming game Final Fantasy VII Revelation, suggesting possible narrative DLC after the credits. Square Enix has not confirmed any post‑launch story expansion, and the listings may represent temporary or incomplete data.

Separately, Square Enix announced that the English hardcover edition of the novel Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Dear Destiny will be published on 28 January 2027. The book continues the story of Aerith and Tifa before the events of the original Final Fantasy VII and includes an additional short story about Cloud Strife’s time as a Shinra soldier. Both the game and the novel are slated for a spring 2027 release on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
