Square Enix marks Star Ocean 30th anniversary with live broadcast and up to 70% off titles
Square Enix is running the "Square Enix Summer Sale Part 2" across the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Store until July 29, offering steep discounts on its classic titles. Star Ocean 6 The Divine Force is 65 % off, Star Ocean -First Departure R‑ and other entries in the series are 70 % off, while Final Fantasy IV receives a 40 % discount and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined 30 % off.
To celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, Square Enix announced an official live broadcast on July 19, 2026 at 20:00 JST on its YouTube channel. The program will feature hosts, retrospectives, fan‑generated content and a chance for participants in the #HereILikeStarOcean campaign to win a signed high‑resolution artwork of a Star Ocean title.
The sale also includes early‑access pricing for PlayStation Plus subscribers until July 14, after which all users can purchase at the discounted rates.
