Square Enix Prepares Global Reveal Events for Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Square Enix announced that the silence surrounding the upcoming role‑playing game Final Fantasy VII Revelation is ending. Director Naoki Hamaguchi said the studio will open the game to players and media through hands‑on sessions at forthcoming events and exhibitions, kicking off a broad marketing push ahead of the final installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy.

The game is slated for a spring 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. It will feature a larger open world than its predecessor Rebirth and aims to mitigate open‑world fatigue with refined combat and deeper side content. While a physical disc version is being advocated by the development team, reports indicate the launch may ultimately be digital‑only.

These announcements signal the start of a sustained flow of new details in the coming months, as Square Enix prepares to showcase the title to the global gaming audience.
