Square Enix reveals details for Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Square Enix is developing Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final installment in the Remake trilogy. The game is scheduled for release on April 8, 2027, and will include Latin American Spanish text and subtitles.

Gameplay demonstrations from the Tokyo Game Show and PAX West highlight several new features and characters. Players will be able to control Cid and Vincent, with Cid utilizing a spear and Dragoon-style abilities. The region of Wutai is featured, offering vertical exploration through Yuffie’s grappling hook mechanics and various side activities such as martial arts training.

The combat system has been updated to be more dynamic, allowing players to switch characters mid-battle, pause time for tactical decisions, and combine team abilities. The game aims to reimagine the original 1997 story through this three-part project, following Remake and Rebirth.
