Square Enix Reveals Final Fantasy VII Revelation for 2027
Square Enix announced that the third and final installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation, is slated for release in spring 2027. Director Naoki Hamaguchi said the game will integrate characters, settings, and plot elements from the series' spin‑off titles – Crisis Core, Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus – though he did not confirm which specific characters will appear. "At this point it’s better not to say whether Cissnei will appear or not," Hamaguchi explained.
Hamaguchi also stated he does not intend to work on any further Final Fantasy remakes after Revelation, expressing a desire to tackle a new, grand‑scale RPG project, potentially within a different IP. He emphasized the company's capability to deliver such a title and indicated his focus will shift toward new challenges once the final game launches.
