Square Enix's Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World slated for Dec 3 launch

Square Enix and developer TOSE announced that the new entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters spinoff series, **Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World**, will release on December 3. The game will be available on Windows PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2), and PlayStation 5.

Players will join monster‑wranglers Bianca and Nera, befriend a wide range of monsters from the Dragon Quest franchise, synthesize new creatures, and battle online in tournaments and friendly matches. The Nintendo Direct trailer showed monster scouting, combat, and overworld exploration, confirming smooth performance on the Switch platform.

The launch follows Square Enix’s recent releases for the Switch, including Dragon Quest XI S and the upcoming Dragon Quest XII, positioning the title as a holiday‑season offering for fans of the series.
