Square Enix's Final Fantasy Resonance receives first reviews

Square Enix’s new RPG, Final Fantasy Resonance, has received its first major review from Famitsu. The title marks the debut of the Final Fantasy series using the HD-2D art style, which blends pixel art with 3D graphics.

In the Famitsu review, four reviewers awarded the game a score of 9 out of 10, totaling 36 out of 40 points. The gameplay is estimated to take between 20 and 30 hours to complete, though including extra content can extend playtime to approximately 70 hours.

The game features a modern HD-2D battle system and story that incorporates classic series elements such as crystals, jobs, summons, and airships. A key customization mechanic involves equipping ‘Visions,’ which allow players to utilize characters from previous entries in the franchise.
