Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Rebirth promises an emotional finale

Square Enix is preparing the concluding entry of its Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, titled Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The game, slated exclusively for PlayStation 5 with a release date still unconfirmed, is expected to deliver an intense, cathartic experience that will leave a lasting impression on players. Voice actors Cody Christian (Cloud) and Britt Baron (Tifa) told reporters at KawaCon that the sequel will feature highly emotional moments, with Christian noting the “vulnerability” of Cloud and Baron describing the upcoming scenes as a “massive, cathartic finale.”

The follow‑up title, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, is projected for a 2027 launch across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2. Developers promise that Revelation will resolve the narrative threads of the previous two games, potentially expanding the story through an upcoming Expansion Pass hinted at in a recent Epic Games Store leak.
