Square Plus launches junior tennis mentoring program
Square Plus, in partnership with Mos Food Services, has launched a series of mentoring programs designed to support the mental and personal growth of junior tennis players in Japan.
The first session was held in Fukui, featuring former professional players Misaki Doi and Shinobu Asakoshi. The program focused on helping high school students navigate competitive pressures and career anxieties through interactive workshops and dialogue. Participants worked on verbalizing their goals and identifying actionable steps for improvement.
The second session took place in Kanagawa, targeting junior players aged 10 to 16. Mentors Ai Sugiyama and Yone Kamio led discussions on maintaining a growth mindset, accepting coaching, and overcoming perceived physical and mental limits.
A unique aspect of the initiative is the inclusion of a dedicated meal time featuring Mos Burger products. This is intended to facilitate relaxed communication between mentors and students, while also teaching the importance of nutrition and recovery in athletic development.
