Squeeze to perform in Valencia after 50-year absence

British pop group Squeeze is set to perform at the Roig Arena in Valencia, Spain, on March 14. This concert marks the band’s return to Spanish stages after more than five decades.

The performance will launch the second leg of their European tour, titled ‘Tried, Tested and Trixies’, which includes stops in Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Germany. During the tour, the group will present songs from their new album, ‘Trixies’, which is their first studio release in over eight years.

The album has a unique history, as it features songs originally conceived by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook in the early 1970s when they were teenagers. After discovering the original cassette demos, the duo completed the project more than fifty years later. The concert is expected to feature both new material and classic hits such as ‘Tempted’, ‘Cool For Cats’, and ‘Up The Junction’.
