Squirrel Flower releases new single and video ‘Cleveland’

Chicago-based artist Ella Williams, performing as Squirrel Flower, has released ‘Cleveland,’ the final single and music video from her upcoming fourth studio album, ‘Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going.’ The album is scheduled for release this Friday via Polyvinyl Record Co.

Co-written with her sibling Nate Williams, ‘Cleveland’ features guitar soloing by Dimitri Giannopoulos. Williams describes the track as a song about domesticity and the magnetism of the city on Lake Erie, touching on themes of the Rust Belt as a potential site for climate migration. The accompanying cinematic video was shot on film and edited by Jackson James.
