SR 14 West Camas Slough Bridge begins full repaving project

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has begun a full repaving project on the State Route 14 West Camas Slough Bridge, which connects Camas and Washougal. The project aims to provide a permanent solution to recurring pothole issues caused by traffic and weather.

Work involves removing old pavement, repairing the bridge deck, installing a new waterproofing layer, and repaving the roadway. To minimize disruption, most work will occur overnight, with only one direction of the bridge closed at a time during the day. A full weekend closure is scheduled from Friday, August 14th, through Monday morning, August 17th, during which one direction will be closed and detours will be provided through Camas and Washougal.
