Sragen completes Gunung Banyak-Sidorejo concrete road project

The Gunung Banyak-Sidorejo road section in Sragen Regency, located on the border of Gesi and Tangen districts, has been completed following a concrete construction project. The 1.58-kilometer road, measuring 4.5 meters in width, was built using 20-centimeter thick reinforced concrete with wiremesh to ensure durability and strength compared to traditional asphalt.

Sragen Regent Sigit Pamungkas inspected the progress on September 7, 2026. The project was a priority for the 2026 infrastructure budget, with a total value of approximately Rp3.4 billion. While this section is finished, approximately 600 meters of the road remain to be worked on, with plans to continue construction through the 2027 budget.

The completed road is expected to facilitate smoother traffic flow and support local economic growth. Local residents have expressed appreciation for the improvements, noting that the new surface eliminates previous issues with potholes.
