SRCE party demands funding reforms and transparency on Đerdap 3 hydro project in Serbia

Slobodan Petrović, deputy president of the SRCE party, accused the Serbian government of serving only the interests of the ruling party and failing to invest in the country’s south. He said that when money is needed in Vranje and the Pčinja district "it looks like a problem," and called for a law amendment to redirect a share of the Republic and Belgrade budget revenues to local governments across Serbia, especially to poorer southern areas.

The SRCE energy committee also asked the Ministry of Mining and Energy to publish the technical‑financial documentation for the reversible hydroelectric plant Đerdap 3. The party highlighted rapid changes in the plant’s planned capacity—from 2,400 MW to 1,800 MW and back again—and in the investment value, demanding full transparency on the project it describes as a cornerstone of Serbia’s future power supply.
