Srebrenica genocide trial: Witnesses testify on Sušica detention

During legal proceedings regarding genocide charges, witnesses provided testimony concerning the detention of Srebrenica residents in Sušica in August 1995. Mehmedalija Čavčić testified that after being captured near Han Pijesak, his group was held in Sušica for several days before being moved to Foča.

Čavčić stated that a separate group of approximately 30 individuals from Srebrenica remained in Sušica and, according to accounts, did not survive. The indictment involves several individuals, including Ratko Vujović, who are accused of aiding genocide through the execution of 65 prisoners in July 1995 at locations including Bišina and Piskavica.

Milovan Đurović, a former member of the Drina Corps military police, testified to his role as a guard at the Sušica detention center. He noted that while Serbian soldiers were detained there, he also observed a woman and several other individuals being brought to the facility.
