Sûreté du Québec launches public searches for missing men Christian Dumont and Jérôme Carbonneau

The Sûreté du Québec is seeking public assistance to locate two men who have gone missing in the province. Christian Dumont, 51, from Baie‑Trinité, was last seen on the morning of 1 August near the Lac à la Truite area of the ZEC Trinité while riding a yellow bicycle with blue‑coloured handlebar extensions. He was wearing a sleeveless coat, dark trousers and a grey hooded sweatshirt. Police warn that his family fears for his health and safety.

Jérôme Carbonneau, 47, of Saint‑Benjamin, disappeared on 31 July around 6:30 a.m. on Rue de la Sapinière while walking. He was described as 1.84 m tall, weighing about 85 kg, with brown hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a dark coat, dark trousers and a military‑style backpack. Authorities have asked the public not to approach him and to report any sightings by calling 911, with confidential tips accepted at the Sûreté du Québec’s criminal information centre.
