SRG SSR sells music radio stations to CH Media and Digris
The SRG SSR board of directors has approved the sale of its three music-only radio stations: Radio Swiss Pop, Radio Swiss Classic, and Radio Swiss Jazz. This move is part of the broadcaster’s ‘Enavant’ transformation project, aimed at increasing digital efficiency and responding to a reduction in media levies mandated by the Federal Council.
CH Media will acquire Radio Swiss Pop, with the transition scheduled for January 5, 2027. The DAB+ network operator Digris will take over Radio Swiss Classic and Radio Swiss Jazz in July 2027. The sale prices have not been disclosed.
As part of the agreement, both buyers have committed to maintaining the current musical and content direction for at least two years. During this period, the stations will remain unmoderated, continue to feature at least 50 percent Swiss music, and maintain their current distribution via DAB+, streaming, and cable. After two years, the new owners will have full autonomy over programming, distribution, and marketing.
