Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple reconstruction begins in Dharmapuri

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar performed the Bhumi Pooja for the reconstruction and development of the historic Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (also known as Ugra Narasimha Swamy Temple) in Dharmapuri, Jagtial district.

The state government has sanctioned funds for the temple's comprehensive development to improve facilities for pilgrims. Additionally, the government has allocated approximately Rs 1,000 crore for the development of prominent spiritual centers along the Godavari river basin, spanning from Basara to Bhadrachalam, in preparation for the upcoming 2027 Godavari Pushkarams.

Specific infrastructure projects in the Dharmapuri and Kotilingala pilgrimage areas include the construction of Pushkar ghats and road works to facilitate better access for devotees.
