Sri Lanka Expo 2027 to drive export growth and international investment

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) is collaborating with the Western Province to enhance the nation's export performance and attract foreign investment. A central component of this strategy is the Sri Lanka Expo 2027, scheduled for January 14–17, 2027, in Colombo. The initiative aims to transform Sri Lanka into a competitive, export-driven economy and a regional logistics hub by leveraging its strategic location along international shipping routes.

In support of this international event, the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency is organizing a trade mission for Bulgarian SMEs to participate in the expo from January 12–18, 2027. The mission targets various sectors, including digitalization, AI, fintech, cybersecurity, mechanical engineering, automation, and food technology. The program is designed to facilitate internationalization, connect businesses with global partners, and encourage R&D collaboration through sector-specific sessions and an investment forum.
