Sri Lanka to host 28th Presidential Export Awards in December

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will host the 28th Presidential Export Awards 2026 on December 8, 2026, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). Held under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the ceremony aims to recognize the nation’s top exporters for the 2025/2026 financial year.

A total of 117 awards will be presented, including 15 overall awards and 102 sectoral awards for products and services. Merit awards will also be granted to qualified sectors based on their contribution to the national economy. Selection criteria extend beyond export revenue to include market diversification, employment generation, environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and value addition.

The event is expected to host approximately 1,500 guests, including cabinet ministers, diplomatic officials, and exporters. Ernst & Young (EY) is serving as the knowledge partner for this year’s ceremony.
