Sri Lanka Women dominate UAE in Women’s Asia Cup opener

Defending champions Sri Lanka Women opened their Women’s Asia Cup 2026 campaign with a dominant nine-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After bowling out the UAE for 79 runs in 19.5 overs, Sri Lanka chased the target with 12.1 overs to spare. Chethana Vimukthi, making her T20I debut, was named Player of the Match after taking 3/16, supported by Mithali Ayodha, who took 3/14.
