Sri Lankan passenger seeks help for missing cat at Dubai airport
A Sri Lankan passenger has issued an urgent public appeal to locate her cat, Chuuti, which allegedly went missing at Dubai International Airport on October 11. The passenger reported that she had completed all necessary documentation and fees before handing the pet over to SriLankan Airlines for transport on flight UL226 from Dubai to Colombo.
After passing through immigration, the passenger was informed that the cat had disappeared from its carrier. Following the incident, she refused to board her flight and spent approximately 28 hours at the airport searching for the animal. The passenger expressed frustration regarding a perceived lack of accountability and support, noting claims that no CCTV cameras were available in the airport’s cargo area to assist in the search.
