Sri Lankan political delegation joins Chinese-sponsored tour

A multi-party delegation from Sri Lanka participated in a Chinese-sponsored programme hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The delegation included representatives from across the Sri Lankan political spectrum, including members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), the United National Party (UNP), and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

The tour, which included visits to Shanghai, Shaanxi, and Fujian, aimed to facilitate experience-sharing regarding party building, social governance, and rural revitalization. The programme also showcased Chinese advancements in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and modern agriculture. The CPC emphasized that the friendship between China and Sri Lanka is a shared commitment among all political parties in Sri Lanka.
