SRI Litoral initiative seeks to strengthen innovation in Paraná

The SRI Litoral initiative aims to strengthen the innovation agenda in the coastal region of Paraná, Brazil, by connecting various sectors of society. The project functions as a governance structure designed to transform academic and scientific knowledge into practical solutions for regional demands.

Utilizing a ‘sextuple helix’ concept, the system integrates six key groups: knowledge (universities and research institutes), government (executive, legislative, and judicial branches), institutions (civil society and entrepreneurial entities), funding agents, companies, and innovation-promoting environments. The goal is to bridge the gap between academic research and the specific needs of the local territory.
