Sri Sri Ravi Shankar honored by New Jersey officials

Spiritual leader and Art of Living Foundation founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was honored by the New Jersey State Legislature and the townships of Edison and Franklin during a recent visit to the state. The recognitions celebrate his 45 years of global humanitarian service, peacebuilding, and contributions to mental well-being and stress management.

As part of a continuing U.S. tour, Ravi Shankar addressed approximately 1,800 attendees at the State Theatre New Jersey. During the event, he spoke on themes of inner strength, presence, and peace, leading participants in guided meditation. The gathering included a diverse group of community leaders, including mayors, state senators, and professionals.

The Art of Living Foundation, which marks its 45th anniversary, operates in over 180 countries. In New Jersey, the organization's volunteers provide breathing, meditation, and self-regulation practices to various sectors, including schools, healthcare settings, and veterans’ programs.
