Sridevi biography cover unveiled by Priyanka Chopra

Actor Priyanka Chopra has unveiled the cover for ‘Empress: The Definitive Biography of Sridevi’, an upcoming book chronicling the life and career of the late Indian cinema icon. Published by Westland Books and authored by Dhiraj Kumar, the biography traces Sridevi’s five-decade journey from a child prodigy to a pan-Indian megastar across five languages and more than 300 films.

Unveiled on Sridevi’s birth anniversary, the book features endorsements from prominent figures, including Amitabh Bachchan, who described her as ‘the epitome of unmitigated talent’. The biography aims to provide a comprehensive portrait of the actress, examining her rise in a hero-centric industry and her influence on generations of performers.

In addition to the book announcement, family members have shared tributes. Khushi Kapoor posted a childhood photograph to honor her mother, while Boney Kapoor reshared the cover announcement. Sridevi, a recipient of the Padma Shri, passed away in 2018.
