Srixon launches second-generation ZXi iron series
Srixon has launched the second generation of its ZXi iron series, featuring four distinct models: the ZXi7 Players Iron, ZXi5 Players Performance Iron, the new ZXi5+ Players Distance Iron, and the ZXiU Utility Iron.
The series introduces i-FORGED technology, a metallurgical advancement that combines Condensed Forging with specific heat treatments. This process allows for selective reinforcement of high-stress areas of the clubhead while maintaining softness in other sections. Notably, the material around the grooves is hardened to increase durability without compromising the responsiveness of the face. All ZXi irons are forged by Endo Manufacturing in Japan.
Additionally, the ZXi5, ZXi5+, and ZXiU models utilize the MainFrame iQ system, which employs AI-driven design and simulated impact scenarios to optimize performance. The new ZXi5+ model was notably used by Ryan Fox during his victory at the 2026 Open Championship.
