Lazio reaches Serie A summit following Juventus victory

S.S. Lazio has achieved its best-ever start to a Serie A season, moving into joint first place with Inter Milan after a 3-0 victory against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Under the management of Gennaro Gattuso, the team has secured six wins and one draw in seven matches, earning 19 points.

Gattuso’s tactical approach, characterized by high intensity and a 4-3-3 formation, has revitalized players previously considered surplus to requirements, such as Christos Mandas and Tijjani Noslin. This performance marks a significant turnaround from the beginning of the season, which was marked by a Coppa Italia exit and relegation concerns.

Despite the sporting success, the club’s latest financial report reveals economic challenges. The group reported a loss of 10.04 million euros, with net financial debt increasing by approximately 90% to 126.4 million euros. Additionally, the accounting value of the Formello training center was revalued from approximately 37 million to 235 million euros.
