SS Rajamouli supports Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana Part 1’

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has expressed his support for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological drama, ‘Ramayana Part 1’, ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on November 5. In a social media post, the ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’ director praised the cast and crew for their work in bringing the epic tale to the screen on a massive scale, noting that the characters were portrayed with depth.

Co-written by Nitesh Tiwari and Shridhar Raghavan, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The production also includes musical scores by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

Rajamouli previously noted in a podcast appearance that he had not always been satisfied with past cinematic depictions of the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics, expressing a personal interest in exploring these stories through his own filmmaking lens.
