S&S to open automated distribution center in Phoenix
S&S has announced plans to open a new 500,000-square-foot distribution center in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Scheduled to begin operations in late summer 2027, the facility will be fully automated to expand the company’s capacity across the West and Southwest regions of North America.
The Phoenix site will utilize advanced goods-to-person automation and the company’s proprietary ‘ZeroTouch’ technology, which employs box- and garment-level QR codes to streamline receiving and order fulfillment. This move is part of a broader strategy that includes over $200 million invested in distribution automation to improve productivity and order accuracy.
In addition to the Phoenix expansion, S&S is increasing its footprint in Canada. The company previously announced plans to move to a larger facility in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of this year.
