SSC Bari appoints Massimo Rastelli as head coach
Italian Serie B club SSC Bari announced the signing of former player and coach Massimo Rastelli as the new head coach of the first team. The contract runs until June 2027 with an option to extend if the club achieves promotion. Rastelli, 57, began his coaching career with Juve Stabia and has previously managed clubs including Avellino, Cagliari (where he won Serie B and secured Serie A survival), Cremonese, and SPAL. His playing career featured stints at Napoli, Reggina, and other lower‑division sides.
The appointment follows the club’s recent restructuring, with director of football Pierpaolo Marino confirming that Rastelli will work alongside newly appointed sporting director Antonio Minadeo. The new technical staff is expected to lead Bari’s campaign to return to Serie A.
