SSC Bari defends against judicial liquidation allegations
SSC Bari has filed a defensive memorandum ahead of a September 10, 2026, hearing at the Bari Court. The hearing follows proceedings initiated by the Bari Public Prosecutor's Office against Luigi and Aurelio De Laurentiis regarding allegations of false corporate communications and fraudulent bankruptcy.
In its defense, the club asserts that the legal prerequisite for judicial liquidation—insolvency—does not exist. The club reported that during the August 28, 2026, assembly, the full coverage of previous losses was approved. Through contributions and waivers from the sole shareholder exceeding 23 million euros during the 2025/2026 season, the company's net equity has returned to a positive balance of nearly one million euros.
Additionally, the controlling shareholder, Filmauro S. r. l., has entered a legally binding commitment to ensure the club's financial requirements for the 2026/2027 sporting season. The club, which has been admitted to the Serie C championship for the 2026/2027 season by the FIGC, maintains that its economic-financial plan ensures all seasonal commitments are covered.
