SSC Bari court hearing set for Sep 3 over liquidation request
The Bankruptcy Section of the Bari Court has scheduled a hearing for 3 September to consider a prosecutor‑filed request for judicial liquidation of SSC Bari. The judge has ordered the club to file an updated economic‑patrimonial statement within seven days of the hearing and to complete a recapitalisation plan by the end of July.
The De Laurentiis family, owners of the club through Filmauro, say they will provide the needed capital and assert that the club has no overdue debts. Prosecutors allege an irreversible state of insolvency, fraudulent bankruptcy and false accounting, citing a €5.9 million loss and a €21 million debt exposure. Parallel investigations are examining financial flows between Bari, Filmauro and Napoli.
The outcome of the 3 September hearing will determine whether SSC Bari will be placed into liquidation or allowed to continue competing in Serie C after the recapitalisation effort.
