SSC Napoli centenary celebrated through new book and film

The centenary of the SSC Napoli football club is being commemorated through both literature and film. Gianfranco Coppola has presented a new book, ‘Indimenticabili – I cento anni del Napoli raccontati con le storie delle amichevoli internazionali’, which explores the club's hundred-year history through thirty selected international friendly matches. The book utilizes historical research and includes accounts from journalists, players, and former president Corrado Ferlaino to capture specific eras and iconic figures like Diego Armando Maradona.

Simultaneously, a new film produced by Filmauro and conceived by Aurelio De Laurentiis has begun filming. The movie aims to depict the deep connection between the club and the city of Naples. Centered around a local sports bar, the narrative follows various characters to explore themes of identity, memory, and generational bonds through the lens of football passion. The screenplay is written by Maurizio de Giovanni in collaboration with Massimiliano Pacifico, who is also directing the project.
