SSC Napoli gears up for centenary with citywide festivities and new documentary film

Aurelio De Laurentiis is leading the preparations for SSC Napoli’s 100th‑anniversary celebrations, coordinating with the Naples municipality and regional authorities. Plans include lighting the city’s main monuments in blue, video‑mapping displays and a night‑time show in Piazza del Plebiscito, as well as involvement of former Napoli legends and current players.

A separate highlight of the centenary programme is a documentary film set for release in November. Produced by De Laurentiis, the film will trace a century of the club’s history using rare footage from the Archivio Luce and new interviews, joining two earlier films that celebrated recent league titles. The year‑long series of events aims to engage fans, former players, and the broader community, reinforcing Napoli’s cultural bond with the city.
