Paul Mendy attracts interest from Inter and Milan

Paul Mendy, a 17-year-old Senegalese striker playing for Cagliari, has become a primary target for several major Italian football clubs. His physical presence, standing at 196-197 centimeters, combined with his technical ability and capacity to attack depth, has drawn significant interest from Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Lazio.

Inter Milan's new sporting director, Dario Baccin, has reportedly given positive reports following scouting missions, positioning the club as a frontrunner for the player. Inter has allegedly been monitoring Mendy for at least a year, including his performances against their Primavera side.

Despite the intense interest, Cagliari has maintained a firm stance regarding the player's future. The club has indicated that they have no intention of selling Mendy during the January transfer window, aiming to keep him for the remainder of the season to avoid weakening the squad. Any potential negotiations or transfers are expected to be revisited in June.
