SSCyPC denies allegations of police abuse in Cuautlancingo

The Secretariat of Citizen Security and Civil Protection (SSCyPC) has issued a statement regarding videos circulating on social media that allege abuse of authority by its officers in Cuautlancingo, Puebla.

According to the official report, the incident occurred on the night of September 6 following reports of a fight and potential gunfire. While officers did not find the individuals involved in the initial report, they encountered two individuals acting suspiciously. One person fled the scene, and police were unable to apprehend the second individual.

The SSCyPC stated that the version of events being shared online does not match the recorded police intervention and noted that no formal complaints have been filed with competent authorities. The agency is urging any citizens who believe they have been victims of misconduct to file official reports through institutional channels to allow for a formal investigation.
