Ssd UniMe appoints Angelo Alessandro to lead football sector

Ssd UniMe has announced a new organizational structure for its football sector to revitalize its programs for the 2026/2027 season. The university-based club aims to boost engagement among students, youth, and families.

Angelo Alessandro has been appointed as the general coordinator of the football sector. Alessandro brings extensive experience from roles with Fc Messina, Città di Taormina, and Messina Futsal. His primary focus will be on developing youth football through qualified technical staff and professional training.

The club is also preparing its senior teams, which will compete in the Terza Categoria and the regional Serie C2 for five-a-side football, featuring a significant number of university students. Renato Sottile has been named the coach for the Terza Categoria squad.
