SSPC and DiDi partner to enhance security using AI

The Mexican Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and the ride-hailing platform DiDi have signed a collaboration agreement to enhance passenger safety through artificial intelligence. The partnership aims to use advanced AI tools to detect, classify, and identify potential incidents during trips.

The system will allow for real-time monitoring and the ability to request rapid assistance from authorities. This initiative includes auditing 100% of trips using the AI ecosystem to improve emergency response times and prevent incidents. Vicente Roqueñí López, DiDi’s Senior Director of Government Relations for Latin America, stated that the collaboration supports the National Public Security Strategy 2024-2030.
