SSS launches LoanLite microloan program via UnionDigital Bank

The Social Security System (SSS) has launched the SSS Micro Loan Program, known as SSS LoanLite, through the UnionDigital Bank mobile application. This marks the first time a participating financial institution has made the program available via a digital platform.

SSS LoanLite is designed to provide qualified private-sector employees with accessible and affordable short-term financial assistance. A key feature of this digital facility is that it allows members to apply through the mobile app without the employer certification typically required for conventional SSS loans.

Qualified members can apply for loans ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱20,000, based on their average of the 12 most recent Monthly Salary Credits. Repayment terms are available for 15, 30, 60, or 90 days. SSS President and CEO Robert Joseph M. de Claro stated that the agency is working with three other participating financial institutions to make the service available on their digital platforms in the future.
