Søstrene Grene to Open Second Edinburgh Store at Gyle Shopping Centre

Scandinavian lifestyle retailer Søstrene Grene announced plans to open its second store in Edinburgh later this year. The new outlet will be located in the Gyle Shopping Centre, with an official opening date yet to be confirmed.

The launch follows the brand’s first Edinburgh store at Waverley Market, opened in 2024, and expands its Scottish footprint to nine stores across Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling and now Edinburgh. Group CEO Mikkel Grene said the new store “reflects how much we value this region and its customers,” while UK & Ireland Country Manager Richard Power added that Gyle is “a prime retail destination” and the store will showcase the Danish concept of “hygge.”

Søstrene Grene, founded in 1973, offers affordable homeware, décor and craft items in a Scandinavian‑inspired setting, aiming to provide a cosy, immersive shopping experience for the Scottish community.
