Săsăuș hosts heritage regeneration camp in Transylvania

The village of Săsăuș in Sibiu County, Transylvania, served as the site for the first Săsăuș Heritage Regeneration Camp held from July 29 to August 2. Organized by UrbanizeHub, the initiative acted as a temporary laboratory for research, co-creation, and rural regeneration.

The project is centered around the future concept of the "Săsăuș Transylvania Hub," which aims to connect traditional households with the village's old school. Nine participants specializing in architecture, anthropology, education, and heritage worked directly within the community, exploring archives and engaging with residents to address the gradual disappearance of local rural life and traditional structures.
