SSV Ulm 1846 dismisses sporting director and head coach

SSV Ulm 1846 has dismissed sporting director Murat Isik and head coach Daniel Jungwirth following a string of poor results. The decision came after a 0-1 home defeat against Eintracht Trier, leaving the club at the bottom of the Regionalliga Südwest with only four points from nine matches.

In addition to Isik and Jungwirth, assistant coach Martin Minks has also been relieved of his duties. Club leadership, including board member Dominik Schwärzel and supervisory board chairman Philipp Utz, stated that the changes were necessary to trigger a positive turnaround in the team's performance.

The club is currently in advanced discussions regarding successors for the vacated positions. In the interim, U19 coach Timo Wenzel will lead training and prepare the squad for the upcoming cup match against TSG Balingen.
