St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church attendees called ‘cult’ in undercover video
Undercover video footage has surfaced showing attendees of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, jokingly referring to the congregation as a ‘cult’. The church is associated with U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico.
In the footage, individuals including Mina Rao and Heather Malkawi, who works for the group Texas Impact, discuss their experiences at the church. Malkawi described the environment as a ‘fun cult, like in the good ways’ and joked about the group’s dynamics.
Additionally, the footage includes comments from Minister to the Parish Babs Miller, who criticized evangelical Christian churches, stating they are ‘almost cult-like’ and suggesting they may be ‘misguided about what is intended by anything that the Bible says.’
