St-Aubin driver dies in single-vehicle collision
A 22-year-old driver died following a single-vehicle accident in St-Aubin, Switzerland. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, on Chemin de la Rochette.
According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling toward Gletterens. The car left the lane, crossed a field, and then crossed the road again before colliding with a tree on the left side. Emergency responders, including paramedics, SMUR, REGA, and police patrols, attended the scene. The driver was airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries but subsequently passed away.
The vehicle has been seized by the public prosecutor's office, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
