St Austell coach demands better discipline ahead of Sidmouth test

St Austell head coach Sam Parsons has called for improved discipline within the team ahead of their Regional One South West fixture against Sidmouth. The call for change follows a 31-25 defeat to Launceston in a recent Cornish derby.

During the match against Launceston, St Austell faced significant disciplinary issues, including a red card for lock Tom Daniel. Despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, the team managed to lead 15-5 at halftime before conceding a late try. Parsons noted that while the team has shown character and self-belief, their inability to complete fixtures with a full complement of players is ‘incredibly disappointing.’

The team is also facing roster changes, as full-back Archie Bees has returned to Australia.
