St. Cloud Police Detain 11-Year-Old After Stabbing Incident

On Tuesday afternoon at about 5:00 p.m., St. Cloud police responded to a stabbing in the 900 block of Cooper Avenue South. Officers found an 18‑year‑old man who had been stabbed multiple times inside a local business vestibule. The victim and other customers subdued the attacker until police arrived.

The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with significant but non‑life‑threatening injuries. Police identified the assailant as an 11‑year‑old boy, placed him in custody, and also brought him to the hospital for evaluation. A search warrant was executed at a St. Cloud address connected to the suspect. Authorities said the victim and suspect were strangers, and the investigation remains ongoing.
