St. Cloud police investigate theft of specialized wheelchair for hospice dog

The St. Cloud Police Department is investigating the theft of a specialized wheelchair belonging to Baby, a senior Pit Bull in hospice care. The custom equipment, valued at approximately $800, was stolen directly from the porch of the residence where the dog is cared for by The Pittie Party of Central Florida.

Baby relies on the custom-fitted device for mobility and basic needs, such as going outside. Following the theft, the rescue organization shared the story online to seek assistance. In response to community outreach, an organization named Ruck9 ordered and shipped a new pink wheelchair for the dog, while community donations helped cover additional costs.
