St. Cloud reports multiple pedestrian and vehicle collisions

St. Cloud has experienced several significant traffic incidents involving pedestrians and emergency responders.

On Tuesday evening, two St. Cloud police officers were injured when their marked vehicles collided at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Highway 23 while responding to an emergency call. Both officers, aged 34 and 28, were transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, a 27-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a District 742 school bus at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 5th Street South. The bus driver and students were uninjured.

On Wednesday afternoon, a 56-year-old driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after striking an adult and two children, aged six and 10, at the intersection of 15th Avenue SE and University Drive SE. The children were transported to Children's Hospital with substantial, non-life-threatening injuries.
